About Allen Stebbins
The landscape has long fired my imagination.
It is in the open spaces, expansive skies, woodlands, old farms and country roads where I find peace and tranquility. My paintings are a search to capture the spatial essence of these natural places I’ve encountered throughout the rural Midwest, New England, the South and the Pacific Northwest.
Through bold color and expressive brushwork my paintings are intended to create a visual dialogue with the viewer to elicit memories of special places where peace and tranquility still exist.
